ShedWorld Garden Sheds are ideal for storage of garden tools and equipment, or as a handy place to stow unwanted household clutter.
ShedWorld sheds are constructed with strong and sturdy timber framework. Additionally, the felt used in our standard roofing is 40kg grade, which is again heavier and stronger than the current market standard for garden sheds. ShedWorld asks that customers provide a suitable site for the shed to stand on, ie one that is flat and level and easily accessable from where the delivery truck will be parked. ShedWorld also asks that customers provide a sufficient number of blocks on which to stand the shed. Blocks or patio slabs can be purchased from any hardware store and need to be present at the delivery address prior to the shed arriving.
ShedWorld Garden Sheds are available in three different timber finishes, with prices and styles to suit all budgets and personal tastes.
Rustic Timber
Construction Method:
Overlap
Treatment Method:
1 Year Timber Paint
Timber Thickness:
10mm approx
Our entry level timber selection. Rustic timber sheds are comprised of all natively sourced timber, hand picked by our expert crafstmen to ensure the best quality. Each board is 10mm thick approx and retaints the rustic, rough finish of traditional timber, giving a raw, natural look.
Rustic sheds are sold pre-treated with a water based, non toxic timber treatment, which is good for approximately one year, after which you will have to re-treat your shed approximately every 12 months. Timber treatment paint is available from all good hardware stores in a range of colours to suit your taste.
Note: Rustic sheds are not designed to be water proof, rather they are designed to be weather proof. As such, with constant exposure to rain over several days, the timber may become saturated, which may lead to the interior walls of the shed becoming moist or damp to the touch. This is in no way harmful to the timber and, given a spell of dry weather, the shed will dry out with no adverse effects.
Rustic sheds are not recommended for the storage of fabrics, soft furnishings or anything that may be adversely affected by dampness.
Rustic sheds are recommended for the storage of tools, lawnmowers, wheelbarrows, paint and other items which would not be adversely affected by occasional damp conditions
It is highly recommended that a coat of sealant, such as Thompsons Water Seal, be applied to seal the shed after installation to prevent water seeping into your shed. Note that application of sealant may affect future painting of the shed
T&G, Tanillised Timber
Construction Method:
Interlocking
Treatment Method:
7 Year Chemical Treatment
Timber Thickness:
22mm approx
Built of sturdy, 22mm, kiln dried timbers, our tongued and grooved, tanillized shed is ideal for all purpose garden storage. Tongued and Grooved timbers slot together to form the sides of your shed, giving a smooth, clean finish that will stand the test of time.
In addition to the quality and strength provided by their tongued and grooved construction, the external timbers of the tanilised tongued and grooved shed are also treated with Tanillith E, which protects the timber against the effects of weathering. This pressure treatment eliminates the need for the outside of the shed to be weather coated yearly, reducing maintenance a minimum.
Pressure treated sheds are designed to survive the effects of weather approximately 7 years with no need to paint the timber before that time, except to improve the colour/appearance of the shed.
Barrel Baord Timber
Construction Method:
Interlocking
Treatment Method:
7 Year Chemical Treatment
Timber Thickness:
22mm approx
Barrel board sheds offer the strong, interlocked, tongued and grooved construction combined with a half-round, log cabin style aesthetic effect to the exterior. Barrel Board sheds represent the top of our timber shed range, being the perfect marriage of style, strength and durability.
In addition to the quality and strength provided by their tongued and grooved construction, the exterior timbers of the Barrel Board shed are also treated with Tanillith E, which protects the timber against the effects of weathering. This pressure treatment eliminates the need for the timbers to be weather coated yearly, reducing maintenance on the shed to a minimum.
Pressure treated sheds are designed to survive the effects of weather for approximately 7 years with no need to paint the exterior of the shed before that time, except to improve the colour/appearance of the shed.
Customers who are concerned about dampness in their sheds should consider any of our kiln dried ranges (T&G Tan, Barrelboard) as these sheds offer a much greater level of protection against dampness after prolonged rain exposure.
Note that lifespan of treatement stated is an estimate only and assumes average weather conditions in line with those used for baseline calculations. Extreme or harsh weather may affect the lifespan of any treatment.
All ShedWorld timber sheds may be upgraded to include breathable membrane felt lining on the interior. Breathable felt helps to prevent mould or mildew from damaging the timbers of the shed, while at the same time allowing the timbers to dry out without warping after a heavy rain.
For those looking for a more durable roofing material, particularly for those in exposed, high wind areas, ShedWorld offers an upgrade to high strength, box profile steel roofing on any our Garden Sheds. Box profile steel roofing is stronger and more long lasting than felt for added value and peace of mind that your shed will serve you well into the future. Colour of Box Profile roofing subject to availability. Standard options Green and Grey.

Standard designs for all of our timber sheds include one single sized timber door located on the gable or apex end of the shed, with an option for a single, non-opening perspex window on either one long side. Alternatively, any Garden Shed can be ordered 'Cottage Style'. Cottage Style sheds are a variation of the standard shed design which, for a small additional cost, are built with extra tall side walls, tall enough to accomodate placement of the doorway onto the long side of the shed. Windows either side of the door gives the interior of the Cottage Style Shed a light, airy feel.
Customisations to this design, for both Standard and Cottage Style sheds, can be arranged by contacting ShedWorld's Head Office, cost of shed will be affected by any customisation. ShedWorld reserves the right to alter or modify this standard shed design at any time without notice.
ShedWorld Garden Sheds are available, delivered and erected, throughout the South East. With years of experience, our highly trained staff can erect a standard garden shed in your garden in less than 1 hour.
